Minor physically-harassed in MP within few hours of passing the bill for Death penalty for rape of girls aged 12 and below

The Madhya Pradesh Assembly on Monday unanimously passed a Bill awarding death to those found guilty of raping girls aged 12 and below. With this, Madhya Pradesh becomes the first State where those convicted of such rapes will face the gallows.
But the harsh reality is, within few hours of this historical step, Madhya Pradesh witnesses another sexual molestation to a minor in Chander District. The accused named Sandip Changanlal of age 19 raped the minor while she was watching TV with others. Sandip forcefully threw the others out of the house and molested the girl. When the aunt of the victim arrived, he escaped.
Now it is under consideration what the bill reflects in reality.
The Bill will now be sent to the President for his assent after which it will become a law, State Home Minister Bhupendra Singh told reporters outside the Assembly.
