Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli scored his 21st ton of his test career on Day 3 of 2nd Test vs SA in Centurion. Kohli amassed the audience with his spectacular 169 runs in the scoreboard. This is the first century, he scored after his marriage, which helped him to top the charts as the most overseas centuries by Indian skippers in the longest format of this game. He is now holding 13 tons, followed by Sourav Ganguly who owns 12, and Azharuddin with 8 and Tendulkar with 7.
In spite of his century, Kohli could not help India to get more runs than South Africa in the first innings. They scored a struggling 307 for all. SA came to bat with a 28 runs lead.
The rain and run made the 3rd day of the test quite interesting. At the end of the day, SA is leading with 118 runs. The day witnessed another impressive play by both the teams. Despite the early wickets, South Africa brigade is still in the game with their talented player AB in the field with an impressive half-century, which bring them back in the game.
