The makers of the eighth season of the uber-popular HBO T.V series ‘Game of Thrones’ continue to add their list of goof-ups in the much criticised Season 8 of the much-awaited series.
In the fourth episode, we saw a Starbucks cup lying around on Daenerys’s table as she and the survivors of the battle with the Night King gathered around Jon Snow to celebrate him. The makers of the show did apologise after the fans were up in arms at such a lack of attention to detail. They took a sporting approach and laced their apology with humour.
“We’re sorry! Westeros was the first place to actually have Starbucks.”
– Bernie Caulfield, executive producer, Game Of Thrones.
HBO took a similar humorous stand when they said:
“the latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered herbal tea.”
Starbucks joined in the trolling brigade and issued a statement:
“TBH we’re surprised she didn’t order a Dragon Drink.”
But this time the fans got another major disappointment when Jaimie Lannister’s right hand, which was cut off and replaced by a golden metallic hand made a sudden reappearance as he embraced his sister cum lover Cersei as King’s Landing came to form ruins at the hands of the Dragon Queen, Daenerys.
His hand was clearly visible in the scene and this second goof-up caused the fans to storm Twitter amidst already heated discussions about the quality of this season.
Jaimie Lannister and Cersei later die in each other’s arm in the episode as the roofs of the crypts of the Red Keep come crashing on them.
