A bizarre incident happened in the Japanese coastal city of Gamagori. A warning was issued all across the city on Monday via text messages and loudspeakers. The warning was not about any natural or nuclear dissaster but was about fish parts.
Several packages of blowfish liver were mistakenly sold by a grocery store of a local supermarket. The fish can causea quick death by asphyxiation, and authorities made sure to warn people to check their grocery bags to avoid any such danger.
The fish is so lethal that if eaten it will kill people faster than an earthquake or nuclear radiation. The danger was discobvered when a person who was suspicious bought one of the packages took it to a health center. The authorities were alarmed instantly according to NPR. And with that, the search was on to find whoever had purchased the nondescript, plastic-wrapped Styrofoam trays.
