Prayas Ray Barman, native of Durgapur in West Bengal and grown up in new Delhi became the youngest ever player to play in the IPL at age 16 as a spinner for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
RCB picked Prayas up for the 2019 Season at a whopping 1.5 Crore.
Prayas happens to be the top wicket taker in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy as an U-16 Bengal player.
He has been trained under Shibnath Ray at the Durgapur Cricket Centre.
He is a a bowling all-rounder who bowls leg-spin and had an impressive run in his debut match against Jammu and Kashmir.
He bagged 4/20, picked 11 wickets in 9 matches with an economy of rate of 4.45.
